I build web, mobile and backend systems end to end, from offline-first point-of-sale apps to national land and climate-risk platforms. I trained as a surveyor, so maps are my speciality.
From Field Surveys
to Production Software
I'm a software engineer who started out as a surveyor on a 309 km highway in Somalia. Since 2022 I've worked on Ardhisasa, Kenya's national land information system, where I lead the QGIS plugin government surveyors use every day and run the GeoServer and PostGIS services behind it.
Outside that I build products end to end: offline-first point-of-sale systems with Android, desktop and web clients, multi-tenant SaaS for pharmacies and insurance agents, and open geospatial data platforms.
I care most about the unglamorous parts: data that stays correct when the network doesn't, systems that can be audited, and deployments someone else can restore from a single command.

Geospatial Software Engineer (Senior)
Konza Silicon — Ardhisasa Project
- Lead developer of the Ardhisasa QGIS plugin used by State Department of Lands surveyors to check and certify parcel jobs.
- Built a multi-instance GeoServer cluster on PostGIS serving WMS to the web client and WFS to the QGIS plugin.
- Automated cadastre data validation (geometry, topology, CRS, attributes) before records reach production.

- Built a React Native app for field teams to survey and log candidate solar/wind sites.
- Built dashboards of solar/wind potential across surveyed sites, used by 20+ field teams.
- Collected, managed and analysed spatial data for project planning.
